Commercial Bank conducts workplace health screening
Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has held a health screening programme for employees in Commercial Bank Plaza.
In partnership with the Bank’s health insurance provider Q Life & Medical Insurance Company (QLM), and Al Safa Polyclinic, a comprehensive health screening consultancy session was offered to employees. Consisting of five stations, employees had their vital signs (including body mass index and blood pressure) measured, a blood sugar test, a lung function test, an eye checkup and a general health consultation with a doctor. Employees also had the option of taking part in a group session covering relaxation techniques to reverse the negative effects of stress, and a station where a cardiologist performed a heart echo.
Commercial Bank Acting Chief Human Capital Officer Hamad Salem Al Shekili said: “People are our most important asset and our staff wellbeing strategy is in line with Commercial Bank’s goal of building the best bank in Qatar and to be the employer of choice by caring about our employees and remaining dedicated to helping them stay healthy. We believe that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not just the absence of disease, and so our health screening programme has been designed to identify and reduce the likelihood of illnesses developing in a preventative way, together with mental relaxation techniques to help create positive change for healthy and happy employees.”
